Dr Bernhard Steger completed his medical studies and his specialist training in ophthalmology and optometry at the Medical University of Innsbruck. From 2014 to 2015, he completed one year of specialised surgical training at the University of Liverpool, UK. Since 2019, Dr Steger has worked as an associate professor at the Medical University of Innsbruck while also contributing his skills to the Department of Ophthalmology at Brixsana.
Dr Steger specialises in a wide range of ophthalmic surgeries, with particular expertise in cataract surgery and the surgical management of conditions affecting the cornea, eyelids and ocular surface.
